Rewarding Resources: Health LibGuide

I recently put together a LibGuide on health information available through library and online.  I have previously listed resources from the National Library of Medicine and resources related to the Affordable Care Act on this blog, but this is my first attempt at putting together a major listing of consumer health resources.

There are plenty of resources available and compiling an exhaustive list would be just that, exhausting.  I choose to not list every single website on every single health topic and condition that I could find.  There are just too many.  I did, however, link to a nice list of medical associations and organizations from MedlinePlus.  If there is a national health organization of note, it is listed there.

It is divided by tabs based on topic, like health by age group, health for everyone, ACA resources, local health links, health news, and mental health.  I largely am using resources from the National Library of Medicine, but I also have other sources from several trusted sources.

I hope you find this guide to be useful!  Don’t forget to look at the other LibGuides available through the Ephrata Public Library.
